Whxte Custom Jewelry Design

Designing with Intention

When I first stepped into designing for Whxte, I didn’t fully understand how much goes into a single piece of jewelry.

Every detail matters—
the stone, the setting, the proportions, the way a piece sits and moves when it’s worn.

And when you begin designing a full collection, those decisions multiply quickly.

There are endless directions you can take. Endless combinations. Endless inspiration.

For a while, I felt that.

Not confusion exactly—but a sense of being pulled in many directions at once.

There are so many beautiful stones, so many design styles, and I found myself appreciating all of them.

But over time, through the process of simply doing—
designing, refining, reworking pieces, having some fall flat and others come to life—

I began to develop a clearer sense of what felt right.

At a certain point, I stepped back.

I wanted to understand what I was truly drawn to—beyond trends, beyond what might sell, beyond what I thought I should create.

So I took time to go inward.

I wrote down everything that genuinely inspires me. Everything that feels aligned. Everything that, in a very real way, lights something up inside me.

And what came through was clarity.

A direction that felt much more defined—but also much more natural.

During that process, something else became very clear to me.

I’ve always felt a strong pull toward the Mediterranean—especially Greece.

There’s something about it that feels familiar in a way I can’t fully explain.

And whether or not it’s true, I’ve always felt as though I’ve lived a past life there.

What was interesting is that when I looked back at my earlier designs, I could see that influence already present.

The stones I was drawn to.
The textures.
The weight and form of the pieces.

It was all there—subtly, almost subconsciously.

That realization felt like confirmation.

Not something new to chase, but something to continue leaning into.

Since then, my approach to design has shifted.

Not by limiting creativity—but by giving it direction.

And surprisingly, that has felt freeing.

I’m no longer trying to explore every possibility.

Instead, I’m focused on refining what feels most aligned.

I’m drawn to:

  • darker stones with depth and presence
  • earthy tones that feel grounded and powerful
  • hammered gold that reflects light like water—like the ocean or a lake in the sun
  • pieces with weight—modern, sculptural, and clean, yet reminiscent of something ancient

Jewelry that feels both current and timeless.
Minimal, but with presence.
Like something you could have discovered centuries ago—and still wear today.

I think there are many ways to build a jewelry brand.

Some create based on trends.
Some create based on what’s selling.

And there’s nothing wrong with that.

But I’ve always known that’s not how I want to build Whxte.

For me, this brand is deeply personal.

It’s a reflection of what I’m drawn to, what I’ve experienced, and what I’m continuing to discover.

And in sharing that, I think that’s where the real connection happens.

This next collection is the most intentional one yet.

Every piece has been thoughtfully designed, carefully sourced, and crafted by incredible artisans here in the United States.

This is just the beginning of this chapter.

And I’m excited to share where it goes.
